There are also many excursion opportunities available in the area surrounding Arena Alta. The reserve is a birding hot spot, and the nearby beaches are great for surfing and fishing. We can also connect you with yoga classes, fishing and snorkeling charters, whale watching and much more.

Many different species of fish can be caught from the beach including roosterfish, jack crevalle, cubera snapper and Spanish mackerel. Kayak and boat fishing can also be productive, with yellowfin tuna, sailfish, mahi and marlin farther offshore. The town of Zancudo is also home to the world renown Zancudo Lodge. More than 70 IGFA World Records have been set by boats fishing out of the lodge.
