The Sansa flight is always an adventure! Flying over the Costa Rica mountains and along the shoreline in a small Cessna airplane is a rush.
Flying across Costa Rica in such a small plane definitely makes some people nervous, but there is no better way to see the country.
Upon landing in Golfito you can hire a taxi to bring you to Mollecito, where you'll meet your captain for our pre-arranged taxi boat ride across Golfito Bay to Zancudo.
Consider the boat ride to be another adventure. You may see dolphins, crocodiles and other wildlife. You never know what to expect! The taxi boat ride is also gorgeous, and borderline magical.
During the taxi boat ride you may also see a variety of impressive birds, including the huge frigates shown in the photo below.
And we always keep our eyes peeled for crocodiles!
Upon arriving at Zancudo you will need to have a pre-arranged ride to pick you up and bring you to your rental house. If you need a ride, then you can always contact Arena Alta and our team will pick you up!
Sol y Mar Restaurant & Bar
Most of the restaurants in this area of Costa Rica are open-air. Oftentimes you will find yourself sitting at a bar near the beach beneath a tiki hut.
That is the case at Sol y Mar which is one of the locals favorite places in Zancudo to eat, chat with friends, have a drink and watch the fiery sunsets over the Golfo Dulce.
